Driving through the town of Sanganer you come across a street where you notice coloured water flowing through the open gutters. As you travel down the path you land upon an open field that catches your attention. The vast field is adorned by brightly coloured fabrics that seem to be floating mid-air. A sight to gasp! When you get closer, you see the concrete columns with bamboo grid on top from where the fabrics hang. This is when you arrive at the Block Printed Fabric Industry of Sanganer in Jaipur.
The architectural plan of these structures inspired the illustration which in turn was used to make the quilt.
